Al Masjid AlNabawi

Al-Masjed Al-Nabawi is the Prophet’s Mosque Peace Be Upon Him in which located in Madinah that situated in the west area in Saudi Arabia. Generally, this mosque is considered the second holiest mosque in the Islam religion by entire Muslims, and it is one of the biggest mosques in the world whose capacity is more than million worshipers.As can be seen from inside, the south facade which it is the oldest area in the mosque is decorated with polychrome on each side of wall. The columns are painted white color at the top whereas polychrome marble at the bottom. Each column has air coming in from the top to regulate the temperature inside the mosque. At the middle of south facade, there is a small holy area called Al-Rawdah Al- Nabayiwah where located between Prophet Mohammed’s Tomb and his platform- place where imam stands up and speaks in front of worshipers on Friday.The Al-Rawdah is deemed as part of Paradise. Praying inside this area makes Muslim feels comfortable and safe. Another important thing is the Tomb of the Prophet Mohammad where located inside his house. Before long time, his house was outside the mosque; however, it become inside the mosque after expands the mosque. Behind the Al-Rawdah, there are two courtyards that it cover with huge sunshades to protect the prayers from sun lamp. On the other side of the mosque, it paved with white marble; similarly, columns did, too. Each column has four speakers to make worshipers hear and follow the Imam during prays. On the ceiling, there are numerous beautiful chandeliers that decorate each side of the mosque. For the outside of the mosque, on the top, there are 27 domes. The most famous dome is a green dome where it situated above the Tomb of Prophet Mohammed. Moreover, there are eight minarets in the new extension and two in the south façade of the mosque, so the totally of minarets on Al-Masjed Al-Nabawi are ten. Furthermore, there are eight four gates surround the mosque that allow for the worshipers get in and out the mosque in an easy way. Each gate constructs with strong thick wood and plated with gold. To sum up, this mosque has beautiful properties like Al-Rawdah, Tomb of Prophet Mohammad. It is great place which it deserves to visit
